If you’re familiar with the Network Music Library, chances are you know the work of composer and arranger Larry Groupé. He is the recipient of 2 Emmy Awards for music composition: one for his work on the ABC primetime drama series “Line of Fire”, the other for the documentary score “Jonas Salk, Personally Speaking”. His list of credits is extensive. He scored the feature films “The Contender” (starring Joan Allen, Jeff Bridges, Gary Oldman, Christian Slater and Sam Elliot), “The Search for John Gissing” (Alan Rickman, Janeane Garofalo) and “Deterrence” (Timothy Hutton, Kevin Pollack) as well as having worked on a litany of TV Series including ABC’s “Commander in Chief” (starring Geena Davis), HBO’s “Mind of the Married Man”, “Star Trek: Next Generation” and “Ren & Stimpy”. If you’ve played a sports game on Sony Playstation, like “NFL Gameday”, or “Major League Baseball”, chances are you’ve heard his music there as well. His most recent score is for the Samuel L. Jackson and Josh Hartnet feature film, “Resurrecting the Champ.”
